Ember and Ranger are a likeable duo, with what I thought was a super strong connection early in the book. It was interesting to see them realize that the other was their soulmate, but frustrating how they blundered their way towards becoming a couple and then gave up on each other so quickly. That was the head-scratcher: how could people with such a strong connection in the beginning act like bumbling strangers halfway into the book?!?

What annoyed me: 1) it was mentioned throughout that she was a real estate agent, but she never did any actual work pertaining to her career, just spent a large chunk of her time working on a stupid tourism film; 2) she was INSANELY focused on matchmaking and was really terrible at it; 3) the book was 384 pages long, but it truly could have been trimmed down to about 250 pages because the plot was pretty thin/boring; 4) the couple of love scenes in the book were very tame and disappointing; 5) at $5.99, this Kindle book is way overpriced for the for the substance and/or enjoyment the reader gets.

Loved the small town and family community. The families grew up togethet in a mixed up family but hey it works
Ember and Ranger always great friends but once they cross that line their lives change forever
Ember is feisty, funny and loyal. Ranger is a brainy brawny cowboy.. It's fun getting to know them
How The Cowboy Was Won takes you back to Cupid, Texas. Here we meet Ember and Ranger. They are each others best friend and have been since early childhood. Ranger is an astrobiologist and has just returned from a year in New Zealand. While he was gone they each became aware of how much they care and depend on each other. These are new feelings for them and they have a hard time deciphering what they mean. You will just have to read the book to travel with them on their way to a happy ever after. I loved every minute of this book and was sorry for it to end.
Best friends to lovers? Maybe! Ember and Ranger have been best friends since childhood. Their feelings for each other are changing, but both are afraid to test the waters in case if goes wrong. Ember is a matchmaker who decides if she can’t find perfect love, maybe she can find it for her best friend. Ranger knows what he wants, but can he get his head out of the stars to go for it. Great book! Wanted to finish to see what happened, and yet hated for it to end! Don’t miss this great book.
How the Cowboy Was Won was a charming friends-to-lovers story. It's what I’ve come to expect from the author and the couples she creates. What’s not to like about a friends-to-lovers story romance right?! Everybody can relate to the story. Ranger and Ember have been best friends since childhood & there for each other even when it meant one of them was left behind. It's the 6th book based in Cupid Texas and each story is well worth the read! If you enjoy her books this one is a good one! You definitely won’t regret picking this book up!
